3/11/23 - So You’re Going to Be a Plant Daddy - House Plants & Pottery for Sale

What's up little daddy? I know you didn't think that you were bringing home a dependent this weekend, but darn it, you saw this post and these great plants and you did. And now it's going to depend on you.

Plants need light, so find it a well lit spot in your home. It’s been cold lately, so make sure to keep it from kissing a chilly window pane. Every baby needs to drink, so water accordingly.

Plant parenthood doesn’t require much, and I’m here at A House of Pots every weekend, 11 am to 6 pm, Saturdays and Sundays, to support you in this journey.

A House of Pots

Located at:

1620 w 74th way Denver CO 80221

Sat & Sun 11-6

Now that we’ve planted the seed, it’s official, you’re going to be plant daddy.

Whether you’re expecting to be expecting, or you’re already a seasoned plant parent, the good news is that you’ve already found a lifelong support system for you and your growing photosynthetic family.

As we all grow together, I’ll make sure there’s always suitable homes for your leafy homies, well-priced and available in the right sizes. Affordable pottery has been in short supply nationwide for awhile now, but my specialty is bringing in thousands at a time, which allows me to offer under market priced pots ranging from $10-$100.

$10 will land you a ceramic planter between 3 and 8 inches while $90 could fetch something glazed as large as 18 or 22 inches. The best deals on hand are our 14 and 18 inch matte white, light concrete cube planters, priced $40 and $50.

A thrifty plant dad is a man after my own heart, so you’ll be pleased to find liquidation discounts apply to most pottery in the store. 25% to 50% off assorted glazed ceramics, resin planters, and red clay terra cotta.

That I’ll also throw in price reductions on items just for good measure contributes to the complementary aspect of my business, as you will see below, there’s an assortment of items I give away free with no purchase necessary.

Plant dads who don’t want to get their hands dirty will love the assortment of potted plants, which for the most part range from $10 to $40.

Maybe plant parenthood isn’t for you though, which is alright, because it’s not for everyone. This is a succulent safe surrender zone where you can rehome, not abandon, any set of spikes or ceramic without guilt or scorn.

Bring your plant babies down to Sherrelwood. Lord knows Cheryl would. She’d hop right on that I-25 and head towards Highway 36. There she’d exit Pecos and you’d look across the vehicle at her and confess:

“Cheryl, would it be alright if I confessed that I was a little anxious about becoming a plant dad?”

And then she would be like:

“No, whatever your name is. I’m totally cool with that.”

Father time waits for no man, but don’t plan to be here any time before 11 or after 6, Saturday and Sunday only, until further notice. I’m looking at more weekday hours and maybe as many as 6 days of weekly operation.

Keywords in the form of pottery jargon:

Listen up plant daddy. Pour yourself some water, this pottery jargon is for you by design. You don’t have to know the local landscape of ceramics to love succulents; and you certainly don’t have to pay to get a plastic nursery container for your plants here. This is the land of extra landscaping planters, and I, Mr. Macetas, am here to share my xeriscape indoor escape (maceta = pot). If you’re potting a plant at home, whether that’s a tree or something you can grow cheap, clay pottery is among my favorite from both a décor and value standpoint. Planting a cactus or succulent in Italian terracotta is both decorative and functional, providing yucca, pachypodium, and other options in your budding desert garden. A Gainey ceramic is an advanced planter for someone with timeless style, and maybe that you, or your deck. Mile high / 5280 plant dads might be feeling like they’ve been left outdoors in the cold or forgotten in the garage with as few low hanging fruit dad joke puns I’m spinning at them right now, but web copy can’t all be roses and flowers. Sometimes it's backyard cacti, grizzled, but where you land the best deals, if you can dig. A plant daddy’s house plants make every day a holiday, and we know every plant parent can deal, with getting surplus free with purchase included with their sale, without barter I might add. This plant dad tackles euphorbia as big as trees, and if he didn’t have a family, he’d be snagging estate sized plants to pair with his glazed bargain flower pots for your indoor gardening needs out in California right now. So if you’re a gardener reading this from So Cal, look outside your house, search your exterior, because I might be there, and if I see green, I’m going to go full yard sale, for the plant daddies are calling; and I wouldn’t trade this calling for anything you’re calling worth a whirl.

Why yes, it is true that plant dads love reading randomized lists of locations and their distances from Sherrelwood:

Erie (21 mi.), Thornton (5 mi.), Louisville (13 mi.), Fort Collins (58 mi.), Castle Rock (37 mi.), Parker (32 mi.), Centennial (23 mi.), Boulder (20 mi.), Superior (13 mi.), Littleton (18 mi.), Commerce City (5 mi.), Greeley (57 mi.), Front Range (1.3 to 130 mi.), Golden (14 mi.), Longmont (26 mi.), Denver (8 mi.), Northglenn (6 mi.), Westminster (2.5 mi.), Lakewood (14 mi.), Arvada (6.5 mi.), Aurora (14-25 mi.), Lafayette (14 mi.), Federal Heights (2 mi.), Sherrelwood (0 mi.), Loveland (45 mi.), Broomfield (9 mi.)

Bonus p. Jargon:

plant store near me, plants near me, plant shop, pottery shop, pottery store near me, pottery shop near me, pots near me, pottery near me
